MUD: No school "guarantees" job placement, especially in this field where all work is on a contract-to-contract basis. Because the entertainment industry is a "freelance" professional world, there are no apprenticeship or internship programs available. Westmore: We offer job placement assistance i.e. the promotional tools to secure jobs. We will recommend our students to incoming inquiries for non-paid work and also suggest students start with their local film commission and continue to persevere. Tobi Britton: I send students out on all kinds of jobs but NOTHING is guaranteed. I have an intern program; Interns work at the Shop once a week. Complections: As a well-reputed school, we receive several job postings daily from potential employers. We have a school job board and a career page on our website. Studio Academy: No. Blanche MacDonald: Upon graduation, the Career Coordinator actively assists graduates in finding work experience or placement in the field. The Career Coordinator actively networks to promote the school and its graduates. Joe Blasco: Students and graduates are referred to incoming inquiries from production companies and film colleges through our Job Placement Assistance Administrator. The students who participate in the "One-on-One with Joe Blasco" seminars work with me both on-set and in equipped facilities on our premises. My Hollywood makeup school also provides interns and apprentices to major Hollywood prosthetics labs. Our Orlando school provides makeup artists to Universal Studios, Walt Disney and MGM. Empire: Yes, we have jobs placed on the board every week. Additionally, when we get calls at the Agency that have low budgets, we offer them to the top students or graduates. After 25 hours in the agency office, interns start assisting agency artists on location. |
